Vic recently worked with Senior Consultant Scott Bezanson from The Difference Card’s West Team to help several new clients in January 2024 to reduce their renewals while improving benefits utilizing the Difference Card solution. One large customer that Victor and Scott partnered on was a real estate development company in the Northern California area. This organization had over 150 employees enrolled in their health plan with over a $3 million-dollar current healthcare spend. Their benefits structure provided employees with a single option copay first design with Kaiser as their health insurance carrier. Vic engaged with the Difference Card early in 2023 to help his client prepare for the long-term cost containment solution. When the employer received a double-digit renewal increase for 1/1/24, Scott and Victor worked together to provide the client with a proposal that wiped out the renewal and brought their spend down to -14% below current. This client required a cap on their claim liability to protect them on the utilization of the reimbursement program.
