The Results were Significant.
Together, the Township and Board of Education achieved a 17% reduction in healthcare costs, generating more than $2.8 million in annual savings for local taxpayers. Just as importantly, employees experienced equal to or better health benefits, demonstrating that meaningful cost containment does not have to come at the expense of quality coverage.
By combining lower-cost health plan funding with The Difference Card's MERP solution, the organizations were able to reduce fixed healthcare expenses while maintaining comprehensive protection for employees and their families. The strategy delivered immediate budget relief while positioning both organizations for greater long-term financial stability.
